The Backend Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining the server-side logic, database management, and cloud integration that power our applications. You will work on high-availability systems, focusing on performance, scalability, and seamless integration between different platforms. This role requires a versatile engineer comfortable switching between Python for rapid development and data processing, and Java for robust, enterprise-grade services, all hosted within an AWS ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Server-Side Logic: Develop high-quality, efficient code using Java and Python to support core business functionality.
  • Cloud Architecture: Design and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS, ensuring security, reliability, and cost-optimization.
  • API Development: Create and maintain scalable RESTful or GraphQL APIs to interface with front-end applications and external services.
  • Database Management: Architect and optimize data storage solutions, including relational databases and NoSQL stores.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and implement caching strategies or asynchronous processing to improve system response times.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement data protection and security measures to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Technical Documentation: Create clear documentation for system architecture, API endpoints, and deployment procedures.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Backend development with a focus on multithreading, concurrency, and object-oriented design.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation).
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in both Python and Java environments.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working in an Agile environment.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation

USD 40,000

Maximum Compensation

USD 142,000

Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
