This position is embedded with the Subscriber Forecasting team, part of Peacock's Advanced Analytics organization. The team develops short- and long-term views on the growth of the Peacock subscriber base, with a specific focus on quantifying how individual content titles — live sports events, Originals, film releases, and library programming — drive signups, engagement, and retention. We leverage first- and third-party data to discern trends in signups, churn, and consumption, and to isolate the incremental subscriber and revenue impact of content slates. We work closely with Finance, Marketing and Programming stakeholders to inform how content is acquired, scheduled, and to shape long-term subscriber and revenue strategy.
As a Senior Analyst, you will own end-to-end subscriber forecasting workflows, lead title-level analyses that shape content prioritization decisions and serve as a subject-matter expert who drives methodology improvements. Your focus areas will be (1) identifying title-level content trends to sharpen the subscriber models, (2) leading end-to-end ad-hoc analysis of subscriber and content-performance data, and (3) building repeatable, optimized workflows that feed and improve existing and new models.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on Peacock's first-party data, title-level content-performance metrics and the data infrastructure underlying them
- Own recurring forecasting workflows end-to-end, from data pull through model output to stakeholder-ready reporting, continuously streamlining and automating to improve turnaround and accuracy
- Quantify the incremental subscriber and revenue impact of individual content titles and slates through cohort, lift, and cannibalization analyses
- Operate forecasting models independently, setting assumptions and building scenarios that show how specific title and scheduling decisions move subscriber and revenue outcomes to inform high-stakes content, scheduling, and marketing decisions
- Drive insights and ensure forecasting accuracy to inform high-stakes content, scheduling, and marketing decisions
- Partner directly with senior stakeholders, translating title-level questions into modeling inputs and clear reporting on expected content performance
- Lead methodology improvements to the forecasting models and workflows, contributing to their structure and design
- Mentor and guide junior analysts on the team, reviewing their analyses and helping raise the team's overall analytical rigor
- Build clean, executive-ready PowerPoint narratives explaining title-level, content-driven trends in Peacock subscriber growth, for both recurring reporting and high-visibility ad-hoc needs
- Help contribute to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work culture at Peacock.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant quantitative field (e.g. Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field)
- 3+ years of experience in analytics, ideally at a subscription or streaming business analyzing subscriber and/or content-performance data
- Familiarity with subscription business KPIs and metrics
- Experience designing efficient, repeatable analytical workflows and reporting processes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, draw actionable insights, and defend a point of view to senior audiences
- Proficient in maintaining meticulous records, documenting procedures, and ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work, reflecting exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to senior executive audiences
Desired Characteristics
- Familiarity with TV & streaming subscription metrics
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, modeling) and PowerPoint, demonstrated proficiency in SQL; experience with cloud data warehouses (Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience isolating the impact of content, marketing, or programming initiatives on subscriber behavior
- Experience in Tableau or an equivalent data-visualization tool
- Statistical modeling and/or advanced data science techniques
