So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.</span></p></div><p>We're looking for an experienced <strong>Engineering Manager</strong> to lead our <strong>IT Automation</strong> team, building the internal applications and automation that power the employee experience across DoorDash and Wolt.</p> <p>This team develops the platforms behind employee lifecycle processes, HR systems, self-service experiences, and business automation used by thousands of employees globally. As Engineering Manager, you'll lead a team of talented software engineers while driving technical strategy, delivering high-impact initiatives, and partnering closely with stakeholders across Engineering, IT, HR, and Product.</p> <p>This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on how internal technology enables the business to scale while helping shape the next generation of AI-powered employee experiences.</p> <h2><strong>What you'll be doing</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Lead, coach, and grow a team of software engineers across multiple locations.</li> <li>Own the technical direction and delivery of internal applications that improve the employee experience.</li> <li>Partner with Product, HR, IT, and business stakeholders to understand priorities and translate them into scalable technical solutions.</li> <li>Drive architecture decisions, engineering best practices, and continuous improvements across the team's codebase and development processes.</li> <li>Lead complex cross-functional initiatives from planning through successful delivery.</li> <li>Balance delivery, technical quality, and long-term platform strategy.</li> <li>Help modernize and consolidate internal platforms as DoorDash and Wolt continue integrating systems.</li> <li>Foster an AI-first engineering culture by adopting AI-assisted development tools and identifying opportunities to embed AI into internal applications and automation.</li> <li>Create an environment where engineers can grow, collaborate, and do their best work while delivering meaningful business impact.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Our humble expectations</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Bring significant software engineering experience, ideally 8+ years building scalable production systems.</li> <li>Have previous experience leading and developing high-performing engineering teams.</li> <li>Be comfortable balancing technical leadership with people leadership.</li> <li>Have strong full-stack development experience using technologies such as <strong>React, Node.js, and Python</strong>.</li> <li>Bring experience designing scalable software architectures and cloud-native applications on AWS.</li> <li>Have a track record of successfully delivering large cross-functional engineering initiatives.</li> <li>Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li> <li>Enjoy working in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve alongside business needs.</li> <li>Be passionate about leveraging AI to improve software development, engineering productivity, and internal products.</li> <li>A collaborative, pragmatic, and ownership-driven mindset.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Next steps</strong></h2> <p>All applications are reviewed by a real human, so please be patient.
