The Senior Software Engineer will lead the development of innovative, scalable, and secure healthcare technology solutions, provide technical leadership across key projects, and mentor engineers. The role also involves building real-time data pipelines, healthcare data integrations, cloud-native systems, and customer-facing applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and lead the development of scalable, high-performance systems using event-driven architectures (e.g., Apache Kafka, Airflow, Flink) and distributed systems
- Champion best practices in system design, code quality, CI/CD pipelines, and observability (e.g., DataDog, Kibana)
- Own end-to-end delivery of mission-critical products, from concept to deployment, including:
- Real-time data pipelines: design and implement event-streaming and ETL flows that process millions of records per second with low latency
- Batch & streaming hybrid architectures: leverage tools like Kafka Streams, Flink, and Spark Streaming
- Healthcare data integration: ingest, transform, and serve FHIR, CCDA, HL7 V2/V3, and other clinical document standards at scale
- Microservices & customer-facing applications: build resilient, API-driven services with robust versioning and backward compatibility
- Optimize system performance (e.g., API latency reduction, error-rate minimization) through distributed caching, code refactoring, and infrastructure improvements
- Design fault-tolerant, cloud-native solutions (AWS, Kubernetes) with a focus on resilience, cost efficiency, and scalability
- Lead migration/modernization efforts (e.g., legacy system rewrites, data lake/warehouse implementations) while ensuring seamless customer transitions
- Partner with product managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, advocating for sustainable and innovative approaches
- Drive R&D initiatives to prototype and validate new technologies (e.g., AI/ML integration, real-time analytics)
