Responsibilities

Design and build systems for data compliance and self-service
Enhance data integrity and consistency guarantees
Consolidate diverse requirements and collaborate across teams
Drive the platform’s north-star vision
Transform raw data into actionable insights
Own and operate critical systems for metrics, billing, and testing
Lead and break down complex problems
Provide mentorship to engineers
Produce and review technical artifacts
Oversee engineering initiatives end-to-end
Manage risks and set goals for execution
Balance maintainability with tech debt and new features

Requirements

10+ years of software development experience
Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders
Manage ambiguity and conflicting requirements
Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
Expertise in Spark
Expertise in ETLs
Expertise in Distributed System architecture
Expertise in MapReduce
Expertise in SQL
Expertise in Big Data infrastructure
Experience balancing urgency and pragmatism with high-quality, long-term solutions

Preferred

Strong background in Scala
Strong background in functional programming
Familiarity with Snowflake
Familiarity with Databricks
Familiarity with DBT
Familiarity with Airflow
Familiarity with Python
