Job Description

The Role

The Workplace Investment Center of Excellence (COE) looking for a utility player who can play a vital role within our Platform and Insights working team. The ideal candidate has strong communication, is highly customer focused, and has a proven engineering background with a desire for innovation and collaboration.

In this role, the Software Engineer will be responsible for working alongside their peers, designing, developing and supporting solutions for reporting and analytics platforms that provide actionable insights, healthy reporting pipelines and data quality visibility for development teams and senior management.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software engineering or related field
  • Strong experience in software development standard methodologies and SDLC
  • 3 - 5 years of experience working in software engineering development in 1 or more of the following: Angular, Java Script, Spring, REST Services, Cloud (AWS), Test and Deployment technologies
  • Experience with AI tools such as GitHub Co-Pilot
  • Experience with data visualization applications (PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience in Python, Unix scripting or related programming languages
  • Experience in Continuous Integration and Source Code tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, Git/Stash/Bit Bucket)
  • Experience with monitoring systems such as CloudWatch, Datadog/Splunk, ELK stack.
  • Hands-on Experience with Public Cloud environments, preferably AWS and Azure.
  • Deeply self-motivated with the ability to work independently, coordinating activities within cross-regional and multi-functional teams
  • A passion for excellence, innovation, and teamwork; eager to learn and adapt every day
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies, delivery projects, and implementation
  • Strong technical design and analysis skills.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model

Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
