Responsibilities
- Author authoritative technical content (blog posts, tutorials, blueprints)
- Maintain active social media presence (LinkedIn, X)
- Deliver technical talks, workshops, and webinars
- Build and maintain open-source demo applications and integrations
- Showcase integrations with modern data infrastructure tools
- Engage with open-source communities (Apache Software Foundation)
- Gather and relay developer/customer feedback to Product/Engineering
- Collaborate with Marketing on product launches and campaigns
Requirements
- 5+ years of developer-facing experience (Developer Relations, Advocacy, Solutions Engineering, TPM, SWE)
- Deep data/lakehouse domain expertise
- Strong understanding of modern data lakehouse architectures
- Proficiency with data technologies: Apache Spark, Apache Hudi, Apache Iceberg, Trino/Presto, Apache Flink, Apache Kafka
- Experience deploying data solutions on cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake)
- Coding fluency in Python, Java, Scala, or Go
- Active public portfolio of written technical content
- Experience speaking in public forums, conferences, or webinars
Preferred
- Active, highly engaged public following in data engineering or AI community
- Familiarity with vector databases, RAG pipelines, or AI/ML data platforms
- Existing professional relationships within Spark, Hudi, Iceberg, Trino, or Flink communities
- Experience building developer-focused libraries, SDKs, or CLI tools
