All internship positions are onsite and require regular, in-person attendance at the designated work location.
OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT
The Investments & Planning division within the IT organization is responsible for financial oversight, reporting, and cost recovery processes. It ensures accurate budgeting, forecasting, and accounting across IT services, supporting transparency and fiscal responsibility throughout the organization.
The fellow will be charged with supporting the Investments & Planning core team in creating daily, monthly, quarterly financial reports for customers across the IT divisions. The fellow will also be responsible for monthly accounting entries and chargeback process. This position begins in Spring 2027; candidates should be ready to commit minimum of 12‑months in the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Downloading daily transactions
- Mapping transactions to budget lines
- Prepare/submit monthly accruals
- Prepare/submit monthly prepaids
- Chargeback costs to Agencies
- Validate receipt of reimbursement
- Update chargeback database
- Assist with labor cost analysis
PROJECTS
- Populating Financial Reporting Dashboards with daily transactions.
- Preparing and submitting monthly accruals to Accounting dept and reconciling entries made.
- Maintaining the Chargeback DB to ensure visibility and collection of all IT to Agency chargebacks.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must.
- The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Matriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA AND/OR matriculated in a graduate program in good standing with at least 2.8 GPA
- Major(s) Preferred: Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
