Responsibilities

Build and scale product features and backend services
Contribute to system architecture
Write high-quality, maintainable code
Partner with Product and Design to deliver features
Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and delivery
Identify and address gaps in systems, processes, and code quality
Improve system performance, observability, and reliability
Collaborate with engineers across pods to ship solutions
Take ownership of projects and drive them through completion
Contribute to a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement

Requirements

~5–8 years of software engineering experience
Strong full-stack experience
Solid understanding of system design, databases, and scalable architectures
Experience working with modern data stores (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP)
Proven ability to deliver and maintain production systems
Experience working in fast-paced, startup environments
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners

Preferred

Experience working on high-scale or transaction-heavy systems
Background in payments, financial systems, or other mission-critical domains
Experience in sports betting, gaming, or real-time consumer products
Experience mentoring junior engineers
