Summary

The Senior Manager, Business Analytics serves as a key partner to Corporate and Division leadership, delivering business intelligence, performance analytics, and data-driven insights that support strategic, operational, and commercial decision-making across the Company. Reporting to the Vice President, Strategic Finance, Planning & Analytics, this role is responsible for developing scalable reporting and business analytics capabilities, translating business needs into reporting and decision-support solutions, and driving adoption of data-enabled decision making throughout the organization. The role owns business intelligence, KPI frameworks, analytics requirements, and solution adoption, while partnering with Data Science on predictive, prescriptive, and AI/ML solutions.

This position collaborates closely with Finance, Commercial, Operations, Information Systems, and Data Engineering & Science resources to develop dashboards, automated reporting solutions, and decision-support tools; define business requirements and success measures for predictive solutions; and integrate Data Science outputs into business workflows to improve performance and enable leadership to act with greater speed and confidence.

The ideal candidate combines strong business analytics and business intelligence expertise with business acumen, intellectual curiosity, and a demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into scalable reporting, performance management, and decision-support solutions through data, technology, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise reporting, dashboards, scorecards, and business intelligence solutions that provide actionable insights to business leaders.
  • Partner with Finance, Commercial, Operations, Information Systems, and Data Engineering & Science resources to identify business analytics opportunities, evaluate performance, and provide data-driven recommendations. Route use cases requiring machine learning, statistical modeling, or production AI to Data Engineering & Science and serve as the business partner for requirements, prioritization, validation, and adoption.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators, analytical frameworks, and performance measurement methodologies that support consistent performance monitoring across the enterprise.
  • Serve as the business owner and analytics product lead for predictive, prescriptive, forecasting, and AI-enabled use cases. Define the business problem, requirements, success criteria, controls, and adoption plan, while partnering with Data Engineering & Science, which owns technical model design, development, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with Information Systems to improve data accessibility, reporting automation, data quality, and enterprise analytics capabilities.
  • Present analytical findings, trends, and recommendations to business leaders and executive management in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
  • Lead cross-functional business analytics and business intelligence initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, clear accountability across Business Analytics, Data Engineering & Science, and Information Systems, user adoption, and measurable business impact.
  • Lead enterprise business intelligence governance by defining and enforcing standards for dashboard development across analytics platforms, reducing duplicate reporting, improving consistency of business metrics, and enabling scalable self-service analytics.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, finance, engineering, accounting, or related STEM field required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business analytics, strategic finance, or related disciplines required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing analysts required
  • Demonstrated proficiency with business intelligence, visualization, data preparation, and data management tools, including SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Snowflake, or related technologies. Working knowledge of predictive analytics and AI/ML concepts sufficient to define requirements, evaluate business fit, and partner effectively with Data Engineering & Science.
  • Proven track record of leveraging data and analytics to drive business decisions and deliver measurable results.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to present complex analyses to a variety of audiences and influence decision-makers.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, support diverse stakeholders, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
