Key Deliverables and Responsibilities

Cambridge Investment Research is seeking an IT Support Engineer to administer business-critical applications, managed file-transfer processes, and third-party integrations within our production environment.

In this role, you will help administer and support secure file-delivery workflows, troubleshoot application and integration issues, and coordinate production deployments. You will collaborate with Platform Engineering, product teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors.

What You’ll Do

  • Support third-party integrations that rely on managed file transfer and secure file-delivery processes.
  • Administer and troubleshoot SFTP-based applications and workflows.
  • Support the organization’s transition from the legacy Globalscape environment to JSCAPE.
  • Monitor production applications and respond to failed or delayed file deliveries.
  • Help deploy Azure DevOps pipelines and changes into production environments.
  • Coordinate with Platform Engineering to confirm deployment requirements, expectations, and readiness.
  • Support frequent production releases while following established controls and validation practices.
  • Review application behavior and identify how integrations, scripts, and supporting code work.
  • Gather requirements directly from product teams and business stakeholders.
  • Partner with third-party vendors to establish authentication credentials and coordinate integration testing and validation.
  • Use GitHub repositories and continuous integration processes to support application maintenance and deployment.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience supporting applications, production environments, integrations, or managed file-transfer processes.
  • Familiarity with SFTP, ETL processes, file-delivery workflows, or related integration protocols.
  • Familiarity with GitHub, source-code repositories, and continuous integration concepts.
  • Experience with PowerShell or another scripting language.
  • Ability to investigate technical issues and develop a working understanding of unfamiliar applications and code.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into clear technical expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Globalscape, JSCAPE, or another managed file-transfer platform.
  • Experience deploying Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Exposure to production deployment and release-management practices.
  • Working knowledge of C# or the ability to review and understand basic C# application logic.
  • Experience establishing or supporting authentication credentials for third-party integrations.
  • Experience working in a regulated or financial-services environment.

What Success Looks Like

  • Maintaining reliable and secure file-delivery workflows.
  • Responding quickly and methodically to production issues.
  • Communicating clearly with technical teams, business partners, and vendors.
  • Thoroughly testing and validating integrations and deployments.
  • Building knowledge of supported applications, scripts, repositories, and data flows.
  • Helping the team deliver production changes reliably and efficiently.
