About the roleAs a .NET Developer, you will make an impact by designing, building, and supporting scalable digital solutions that enable critical healthcare workflows and secure data management. You will be a valued member of the technology delivery team and work collaboratively with product owners, architects, data teams, and healthcare stakeholders to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions.

In this role, you will

Design, develop, and maintain .NET applications, including APIs, web services, and Azure Function Apps, supporting healthcare platformsBuild and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models to ensure performance, accuracy, and scalabilitySupport and enhance healthcare applications, including Facets modules (Member, Claims, Providers, Accumulation, and Open Access services)Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutionsEnsure solutions comply with healthcare regulations, security standards, and data privacy requirementsTroubleshoot and resolve application and database-related issues across environmentsContribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployments using Azure DevOpsDevelop and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and system processesBuild and maintain agentic AI workflows, including multi-step reasoning, tool usage, and autonomous task executionIntegrate and manage Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to enable AI agents to interact with external tools, APIs, and data sourcesDevelop, test, and optimize prompts, pipelines, and agent orchestration logic

What you need to have to be considered

Strong experience developing applications using .NET technologiesAdvanced proficiency in SQL, including query optimization, stored procedures, and data modelingHands-on experience supporting healthcare applications and workflowsExperience working with Facets (Member, Claims, Providers, Accumulation, and Open Access services)Understanding of healthcare standards and regulations such as HIPAA, HL7, or FHIRExperience with CI/CD pipelines and deployments using Azure DevOpsAbility to work effectively in Agile delivery environmentsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to support production systems

These will help you stand out

Experience designing or deploying Generative AI or Agentic AI–powered solutionsExposure to Azure cloud services and a strong interest in Azure upskillingExperience building intelligent workflows that integrate AI agents with enterprise systemsStrong communication skills and experience collaborating with global or cross-functional teams

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $110K - $125K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
