This role serves as the primary bridge among HR, Technology, Finance, Risk, and external partners, translating business priorities into a disciplined multiyear platform roadmap and measurable outcomes. The manager leads cross-functional delivery from discovery and business case development through design, testing, deployment, adoption, and stabilization, while building a scalable operating model for releases, integrations, data, controls, and support.
Primary responsibilities include
- Serve as the accountable platform lead and engagement partner for HR leaders, product owners, technology teams, and vendors; establish clear decision rights, priorities, service expectations, and escalation paths.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of HCM initiatives, including discovery, requirements, solution options, business cases, planning, configuration oversight, integration, testing, change readiness, deployment, stabilization, and benefits realization.
- Direct quarterly release readiness and regression testing, assess feature impacts, coordinate stakeholder decisions, and drive adoption of relevant Oracle capabilities, including Redwood user experiences and automation opportunities.
- Establish and operate platform governance, release management, intake, prioritization, change control, and production-readiness practices that improve delivery predictability, quality, transparency, and cross-functional alignment.
- Lead internal team members and delivery partners, including business analysts, developers, configuration specialists, architects, and vendors; set outcomes, manage capacity, remove barriers, and develop talent.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes and apply AI-enabled automation responsibly to improve HR service delivery, employee experience, decision support, and operating efficiency.
- Manage platform budgets for one or more neighborhoods.
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related Technology discipline
- 10+ years of progressive HR technology, HRIS, product management, enterprise applications, or related experience, including leadership of complex, enterprise-scale HCM initiatives.
- 5+ years leading teams, workstreams, platforms, or portfolios with accountability for roadmap, delivery, operations, stakeholder outcomes, and vendor performance.
- Demonstrated success owning an enterprise HCM platform or comparable SaaS HR ecosystem, such as Oracle HCM Cloud, Workday, ADP, or UKG, across strategy, implementation, releases, integrations, and ongoing support.
- Experience establishing or operating HRIT governance, release management, demand intake, prioritization, testing, change control, and production support practices.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise HR processes and data across several domains, such as Core HR, recruiting, compensation, talent, performance, learning, payroll, benefits, or contingent labor.
- Proven people leadership and vendor management skills, with the ability to build capable teams, develop talent, negotiate priorities, and drive accountability without relying solely on direct authority.
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end software development of complex multi-tiered systems in an agile environment
- Experience with multiple IT disciplines with a confirmed understanding of relevant architectural concepts
- Strong communication skills; ability to facilitate technical conversations with non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud platform
- Experience in a regulated, financial services, healthcare, or other complex enterprise environment.
- Experience transitioning between major HCM platforms and rapidly applying transferable product, governance, integration, and operating-model expertise.
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, global expansion, or large workforce transformations.
- Experience designing AI-enabled HR services, virtual agents, intelligent automation, or responsible AI controls.
- Ability to communicate across all levels in the organization
