CNC Programmer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Be a mentor for less experienced staff on how to set up and operate manually the CNC equipment to produce complex parts to specification.
• Create the appropriate documentation, DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and procedures to engage the staff on quality.
• Develop and implement processes and teach those processes to others.
• Learn and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
• Understand. Create. Simplify.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Trade School degree and 6 years of experience, or 8 years of shop experience

Highly skilled in applicable software

Service attitude, soliciting internal and external customers for feedback

Strong math skills

Ability to accurately measure parts

Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills

Advanced leadership skills and ability to mentor others

Ability to lead and organize group projects

Background check results satisfactory to SEL

Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications

Basic shop experience

Sit and/or stand at least 8 hours
