Develop and maintain ACH PEP+ vendor COBOL code
Perform system integration support
Consult and partner with business product owners
Develop customized coding, software integration, analysis, and configuration
Lead and participate in development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of complex solutions
Build non-functional monitoring capabilities and provide escalated support
Build and maintain security controls and monitoring
Lead moderately complex projects and participate in larger initiatives
Solve complex technical and operational problems
Oversee the work of a small team
Deliver high quality working software and automate tasks
Engage with the business from the beginning of design work
Leverage continuous engineering practices
Refine user stories
Develop and maintain automated unit testing
Support integration and functional testing
Provide automated monitoring capabilities
Provide warranty support
Provide knowledge transfer to production support
Develop code in accordance with acceptance criteria

10+ years of experience in developing and maintaining ACH PEP+ code
Significant knowledge of PEP+ internals and ACH processing rules
Knowledge of PEP+ DB2
Knowledge of PEP+ online (CICS)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and training
In-depth knowledge of information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices
Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design
Strong analytical and debugging skills
Professional experience building high-quality apps or services from the ground up and scaling at an enterprise level
Strong understanding of SOA and/or Open API methodologies and service architectures
Solid knowledge of relational database design and development (SQL, stored procedures, data modeling)
Experience with build tools, such as ChangeMan

Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification
Master’s degree and ten+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Banking or financial services experience
Knowledge of specific applications, technology platforms, programming languages, systems, or business segments
