Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quality Automation Engineer with strong experience in automation frameworks, API testing, and CI/CD processes. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with IBM, requiring hands-on expertise in Playwright, Java, CI/CD (GitLab), and REST API testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright and Java.
• Design and execute comprehensive test cases based on BDD frameworks.
• Perform REST API testing using Rest Assured.
• Integrate automation test cases into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to define testing strategies and ensure high product quality.
• Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve issues in automated test scripts.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and provide updates on test progress.

Mandatory Skills

• Java: Strong proficiency in core Java for developing automation scripts.
• Playwright: Hands-on experience with Playwright for browser-based testing.
• CI/CD: Deep understanding and practical knowledge of CI/CD practices, preferably using GitLab.
• REST API Testing: Proficient in testing APIs and automation using Rest Assured.
• BDD Frameworks: Experience in writing and maintaining test cases using Behavior Driven Development approach.
