Lead the design and delivery of JobNimbus’s payments platform
Build secure, scalable systems powered by Stripe

Partner closely with engineering, product, and finance

Own the technical direction and execution of payments platform

Lead the design and development of Stripe-based payment systems

Design and build backend systems using C#, Node.js, and event-driven architectures
Handle high-volume financial transactions
Deliver payment solutions that balance customer needs, speed, and long-term platform value
Drive alignment across teams when payment systems intersect multiple services
Ensure consistency in design and implementation
Break down complex problems into clear technical approaches
Lead execution through hands-on contribution and guidance
Write production code alongside the team
Raise the bar on engineering quality
Mentor engineers across teams
Lead initiatives that improve transaction reliability, billing flexibility, and system performance
Ensure systems meet expectations for security, data protection, and operational stability
Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve development speed, reduce repetitive work, and enhance system quality

8+ years of software engineering experience
Track record of building and scaling production systems
Strong hands-on experience with Stripe and payment systems
Experience with subscriptions, billing, invoicing, and webhook-based integrations
Solid understanding of payments concepts such as idempotency, transaction flows, and data consistency
Proven ability to lead technical decisions within a domain
Guide other engineers toward strong solutions
Strong backend development experience in C# and/or Node.js
Experience building and operating distributed systems
Experience with event-driven architectures
Ability to balance speed and quality
Make pragmatic decisions that move the business forward
Comfort working across teams
Step in where systems or ownership boundaries are unclear
Experience contributing to critical systems in production
Experience debugging, scaling, and improving reliability
Track record of mentoring engineers
Raising the overall quality of a team
Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS)
Experience building highly available systems
Strong understanding of API design
Integrating with third-party services
Experience with observability, testing, and maintaining production systems
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Database management and design (SQL, NoSQL)
