Junior Transport Engineer - Fixed Term

The team is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of transport network infrastructure, supporting the delivery of reliable and high-performance communication services. Leveraging expertise in SDH, DWDM, and IP transport technologies, team members contribute to network planning, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting activities. Through close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams, the group plays a key role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and efficiency of modern telecommunications networks.

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity with posibility of extension.

• Support the design and configuration of transport network elements.
• Assist with installation, testing, and troubleshooting of transport network equipment.
• Monitor transport network performance and support fault resolution.
• Document network configurations, topology, and changes.
• Collaborate with radio and core network engineers on end-to-end connectivity.
• Support the planning, configuration, and testing of IP/MPLS, Ethernet, and optical transport networks.
• Participate in the integration and verification of transport network elements.
• Assist in monitoring network performance and identifying areas for optimization.
• Contribute to troubleshooting and resolving issues within the transport layer.
• Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of transport networks (SDH/DWDM/IP transport).
• Experience with network equipment configuration or lab work.
• Basic understanding of network protocols and topologies.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (OSI model, routing, switching).
• Familiarity with IP/MPLS concepts.
• Proficiency in English and Ukrainian both written and verbal.

• Familiarity with network management systems.
• Basic knowledge of routing and switching protocols.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., vendor transport/networking courses).
• Knowledge of optical transport technologies (e.g., DWDM, OTN).
• Experience with network simulation or modeling tools.
• Basic scripting skills for network automation (e.g., Python, Ansible).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
