We are seeking a Senior Ruby Developer to execute the full lifecycle of the product development, by programming well-designed, efficient, and testable code that meets specifications.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Design robust, scalable, and secure features
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, and code standards)
• Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into the design

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience as a Ruby on Rails developer (versions 4, 5, and 6)
• Proven work experience in software development
• Demonstrable knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JQuery
• Experience developing highly interactive applications
• A firm grasp of object-oriented analysis and design
• Passion for writing great, simple, clean, efficient code
• Good knowledge of relational databases (preferably MySQL)
• Working knowledge of NoSQL databases
• Demonstrate Rails fundamentals and best practices knowledge
• Preferred RoR gems: RSpec, Capibara, Spinach, http_party, rest_client, Savon, sneakers, PubNub, Twilio

Education

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• If there is no formal college education +5 professional years of experience
