Responsibilities

  • Manage contract team, contract deliverables, and corporate responsibilities
  • Lead multiple software development teams
  • Responsible for application performance, innovation and integration
  • Work cross functionally with stakeholders, QA, and support teams
  • Manage technical projects or programs
  • Develop and track release milestones and schedules
  • Develop a plan and schedule with well-defined milestones
  • Own release schedules
  • Manage communication of progress/status
  • Escalate issues as necessary
  • Assess the quality of releases
  • Develop tools and processes to improve software engineering productivity
  • Evaluate business requirements and design secure technical solutions
  • Present routinely to government management or at workshops

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • A minimum of 8 years of work-related experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
  • 3+ years of Agile experience leading software development teams
  • 3+ years of experience building scalable web applications using .NET, C#, JavaScript, and React
  • Experience using modern project management tools like Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud productivity suites, including Microsoft’s Office 365 and Google G-Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Training in the use of MS Project and MS Visio

Preferred

  • Experience in US Department of State software development projects
  • Demonstrated experience with the technical and conceptual environment of web development
  • Experience with tools relevant to interface design, the creation of interactive web pages, database connections, interactivity, and the creation of customized graphic images
