Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interfaces between PAR systems and external platforms
- Translate functional and technical requirements into scalable integration solutions
- Develop, test, and support integrations using C#, .NET, and industry-standard technologies
- Develop reusable components, templates, and tools to improve integration efficiency
- Ensure data integrity, performance, and reliability across all interfaces
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Collaborate with project managers and implementation teams on interface delivery
- Participate in interface design sessions with internal and external stakeholders
- Support interface testing, validation, and go-live activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues during and after deployment
- Ensure successful handoff to support teams following stabilization
- Provide advanced technical support for interface-related issues
- Monitor interface performance and proactively identify improvements
- Analyze root causes of issues and implement long-term fixes
- Continuously improve integration processes, tools, and documentation
- Partner with clients, vendors, and internal teams to define integration requirements
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to best practices, standards, and architectural decisions
Requirements
- Strong experience in interface/integration development within a healthcare IT environment
- Experience developing in C# / .NET
- Experience developing in Javascript
- Proficiency with integration standards such as HL7
- Proficiency with APIs (REST/SOAP)
- Proficiency with FTP
- Proficiency with TCP/IP
- Strong experience with relational databases
- Strong experience with SQL (querying, joins, stored procedures, data validation, performance analysis, troubleshooting)
- Experience parsing, transforming, and validating structured data formats (e.g., HL7, JSON, XML, CSV)
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in interface development, integration engineering, or similar role
- Healthcare IT experience strongly preferred
Preferred
- Experience integrating with healthcare EMR and MMIS systems such as Epic, MEDITECH, Infor, Workday, PeopleSoft or McKesson
- Experience with healthcare integration engines or middleware (e.g., Mirth Connect, Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, Corepoint)
- Experience with Microsoft Entity Framework
- Knowledge of cloud-based integration approaches or modern API frameworks
- Understanding of secure integration practices, including authentication, encryption, transport security, and protected healthcare data handling
