Assistant Vice President

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to lead a large-scale transformation program involving the migration of SAS-based data platforms, ETL processes, reporting solutions, and analytical workloads to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using DBT. The role requires strong leadership, data engineering expertise, stakeholder management skills, and hands-on experience in cloud-based data modernization initiatives.

The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end delivery, technical governance, migration strategy, architectural oversight, and successful execution of multiple workstreams across business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

Program Delivery

• Lead end-to-end delivery of SAS to GCP migration programs.
• Define migration roadmap, delivery approach, and execution strategy.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and resource allocation.
• Ensure timely delivery of migration milestones and business objectives.
• Drive Agile delivery and release management processes.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical direction for migration from SAS datasets, SAS ETL, SAS macros, and reporting solutions.
• Review and approve solution architectures, data models, and transformation designs.
• Establish migration standards, coding standards, and best practices.
• Guide teams on cloud-native architecture and modernization opportunities.

Data Engineering Oversight

• Oversee development of data pipelines using GCP services and DBT.
• Ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.
• Lead design reviews for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and reporting layers.
• Drive implementation of data quality, lineage, and reconciliation frameworks.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for business and technology stakeholders.
• Collaborate with architecture, regulatory, risk, compliance, and operational teams.
• Present project status, risks, and technical recommendations to senior leadership.
• Manage vendor and third-party engagements.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field. 8-12 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
