About the job Java Developer

We're looking for a Java Developer (B2B/contract) to build the services and APIs connecting a fast-growing consumer-tech platform with its group SAP environment.

This is a hands-on backend role focused on real business flows: orders, inventory, device lifecycle, invoicing, payments, returns, and financial data.

You'll own integrations from design to production - writing clean code, handling failure scenarios, and working directly with SAP, product, finance, operations, QA, and DevOps teams.

Your role with us

• You'll design and maintain Java services that connect internal platforms with SAP ERP.
• You'll translate operational and financial processes into reliable, well-tested integrations.
• You'll take ownership of solution design, delivery, monitoring, and production support.

What you'll actually do

• Build SAP integrations

-Develop Spring Boot services and APIs for data exchange between internal systems and SAP.

-Integrate through REST, OData, SOAP, IDoc, or RFC/BAPI interfaces, depending on the use case.

-Map and validate data for orders, inventory, returns, payments, invoices, and master data.

-Comfortable integrating internal systems with APIs from SAP (ECC or S/4HANA for example) processes across FI/CO, MM, and SD.

• Make integrations reliable

-Build authentication, idempotency, retries, queues, logging, and clear error handling.

-Write unit and integration tests and investigate issues across system boundaries.

-Monitor performance and data consistency in production.

• Keep delivery structured and moving

-Collaborate with SAP, product, finance, QA, and other tech teams.

-Estimate work clearly, document interfaces, and communicate dependencies early.

-Participate in code reviews and technical decisions.

• What we're looking for:

3-5+ years of experience in Java development.

-Strong hands-on experience with Spring / Spring Boot and production APIs.

-System-integration experience with data mapping and failure recovery.

-Experience with REST APIs, messaging, and relational databases.

-Comfortable with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and production monitoring.

-Experience writing unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito)

-Good English and confidence working with technical and business stakeholders.

• Nice to have:

-Experience integrating Java applications with SAP ECC or S/4HANA.

-Knowledge of SAP FI/CO, MM, or SD business processes.

-Hands-on exposure to SAP Integration Suite

-Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, Kubernetes, or cloud environments.
