About this role
This role provides hands-on experience in Agile software development, DevOps practices, and production support while contributing to the delivery of high-quality product features. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams, helps improve development tools and processes, and supports system reliability through vulnerability remediation and a production-first mindset.
In this role you will
- Attend and participate in scrum events (the sprint, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, sprint retrospective)
- Participate in team or departmental meetings
- Assist with vulnerabilities remediation
- Assist with building/improvement of DevOps tooling (e.g., pipelines, static scanning etc.)
- Complete the internship program final capstone presentation
- Maintain a production-first mindset focused on scale, uptime and ability to rapidly triage/resolve production issues
- Invest in our Agile practice to continuously improve product quality, time to market
- Learn to develop product features for any of the following: data marketplaces, mobile applications, web applications, and API services
What makes You an ideal candidate?
- Must be a student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Computer Science with at least one semester remaining upon start of the internship.
- Must possess a minimum of a 3.0 (out of a 4-point scale) GPA.
- Junior or Senior classification preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required. This incumbent will be required to give presentations and communicate with business leaders.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and conceptual skills required.
- Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work independently or in a team setting.
- Previous internships are considered a plus.
Additional Knowledge and Skills
Working effectively within an AI enabled environment
- Ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work.
- Skills in evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias.
- Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights.
- Familiarity with AI assisted research, summarization, and content generation.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection.
AI Skills Preferred
- Experience with AI-assisted software development or automation.
- Knowledge of prompting techniques to improve output quality.
- Awareness of emerging GenAI capabilities and limitations.
