We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to lead software development in ServiceNow applications. This is a key subject matter expert (SME) role focused on designing, building, and enhancing ServiceNow applications, while also supporting integration and backend services through Java and AWS technologies.

If you're a seasoned ServiceNow developer who enjoys solving complex problems, mentoring others, and shaping system architecture, this role is for you!

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and customisation of ServiceNow applications and modules to optimise business processes.
• Serve as the go-to SME for ServiceNow, capable of identifying and resolving issues independently, and advising both internal teams and external vendors.
• Architect and implement robust, scalable integrations between ServiceNow and third-party or cloud-based systems (e.g., AWS).
• Support backend services using Java and relevant frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
• Conduct code reviews, ensure development best practices, and maintain platform standards.
• Provide guidance and technical mentorship to junior developers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver aligned solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD efforts and help automate deployment processes.
• Stay up to date with new ServiceNow features, trends, and relevant industry practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Min 6 years of ServiceNow development experience, including custom application development, Service Portal, UI Policies, Business Rules, etc.
• Strong grasp of ServiceNow architecture and security models (RBAC, ACLs, etc.).
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ServiceNow development) and Java (for backend services and integration).
• Experience with AWS services and cloud-based integrations.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills; able to handle complex technical issues independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer and/or AWS certification is a strong plus.
