TPA Core Services Senior Database Administrator (DBA) Contribute to the strategic direction of the business and support impactful mission outcomes as a TPA Core Services Senior Database Administrator at GDIT. Here, you’ll enable the success of one of the most critical federal healthcare missions and ensure the stability, integrity, performance, and security of data systems supporting the World Trade Center Health Program. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a TPA Core Services Senior Database Administrator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the World Trade Center Health Program (WTCHP). You will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing databases that support eligibility, claims processing, provider management, member services, and financial operations across Third Party Administrator (TPA) core service areas.

  • Lead administration, tuning, maintenance, and optimization of databases that support mission‑critical healthcare operations, ensuring availability, reliability, and secure handling of sensitive Program data.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, data analysts, security specialists, operations teams, and system vendors to ensure databases align with application requirements, integration needs, and compliance frameworks.
  • Drive improvements in performance, scalability, backup and recovery, data integrity, and auditing processes while supporting migrations, upgrades, and cross‑system data validation.
  • Utilize database administration tools, SQL expertise, performance monitoring platforms, cloud database services, automation scripts, and secure data management practices to uphold federal healthcare data standards. Education

Technical training, certification(s), or degree

Experience

5+ years of related experience in database administration or data systems engineering

Technical skills

SQL proficiency; database performance tuning; backup and recovery; security hardening; data replication; cloud database environments; monitoring tools; and experience supporting mission‑critical systems

Security clearance level

MB(T2)

  • US citizenship required

The likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
