Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable backend applications using Python

Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices

Architect systems to reduce risks related to availability, latency, and efficiency

Work with relational and non-relational databases (SQL/NoSQL) and optimize their performance

Apply GPT, OCR / Document Intelligence, Azure AI Services, and Vector stores to real-world automation use cases

Apply Prompt Engineering techniques to build solutions for automation of insurance processes

Contribute to architectural discussions with a focus on scalability and maintainability

Manage CI/CD pipelines and application deployment using Azure DevOps and Docker / Container Apps

Support production deployments and environment configuration

Apply SRE best practices, define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets

Implement observability practices, including monitoring, logging, and tracing

Automate operational processes to reduce manual effort and mitigate performance and availability risks

Required

5+ years of Python development experience, with commercial experience in Angular

Strong knowledge of Python frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask)

Experience with REST APIs and API documentation tools such as Swagger

Experience designing and maintaining production-grade systems

Experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and clean architecture

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines

Experience with Prompt Engineering (GPT, OCR / Document Intelligence, Azure AI Services, Vector stores)

Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools

Understanding of SLIs/SLOs and reliability principles, along with system performance, scalability, and availability

Experience working in Agile environments

English

Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher

Preferred

Experience with high-load systems

Knowledge of asynchronous programming

Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Understanding of DevOps practice

Background in the insurance domain
