About the Role

We're looking for a Full Stack Team Lead to grow and guide an engineering team of 4-6 full stack developers. This is a new team at a new site - you'll be standing it up from the ground: shaping how the team works and building it into a site we keep growing.

The team you'll lead works end-to-end - Angular front end, Java/Spring and Node.js services, cloud-native deployment on AWS, and AI-assisted/agentic development workflows. Your team owns a mix of new product work and modernization of existing systems, so you'll need to be equally comfortable starting something from scratch and navigating a system you didn't build.

You'll spend roughly 40% of your time hands-on - architecture calls, design reviews, unblocking the team, prototyping - and the rest leading people, planning, and partnering with our Israel-based teams.

What You'll Do

Stand up a new team and site - define working agreements and establish the engineering culture

Lead and grow a team of 4-6 full stack engineers: 1:1s, career development, performance management, hiring

Own technical direction for your team's services - architecture decisions, design reviews, code quality standards

Balance new feature development with responsible modernization of existing systems, including migration to AWS

Champion AI-assisted and agentic development practices across the team - from adopting the right tools to setting

standards for how AI is used in code, review, and testing

Own security and compliance posture for your team's services - secure-by-design architecture, secrets and access management, dependency and vulnerability handling, and meeting audit and regulatory requirements together with our security teams

Drive sprint planning, estimation, and delivery in an Agile environment

Own delivery pipeline health - CI/CD, deployment, observability - in partnership with DevOps

Partner closely with counterparts and stakeholders in Israel across time zones

What We're Looking For

MUST HAVE

Experience & Leadership

7+ years of full stack software development experience

2-3+ years leading an engineering team directly (4+ reports) - including performance conversations, growth plans, and

hiring

Proven track record in both greenfield and legacy/existing codebases - you know how to triage tech debt and choose when to refactor vs. rewrite

Solid hands-on experience with AWS - you'll be leading both new project onboarding and migration of existing systems onto AWS

Professional English

Frontend

Angular (v17+) and TypeScript, including Signals, component & module architecture, and state management

RxJS, including complex Observable chains

Reactive Forms / Template-driven Forms, Routing & Lazy Loading

Backend

Java and Spring Boot - REST controllers, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring Cloud

Microservices design, high-throughput API development

Design patterns

Dependency Injection, AOP, Interceptors

Node.js/TypeScript - REST APIs with Express or NestJS

ALSO IMPORTANT

Comfortable operating in a distributed, multi-site organization with async communication across time zones

Security and compliance awareness - secure coding practices, least-privilege access, and working within a regulated environment

Git-based workflows (BitBucket/GitLab), Pull Requests & code review culture

Agile methodology, task management in JIRA

API tooling

Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI

ADVANTAGE

AI & Agentic Development

Hands-on experience with Agentic Coding - using AI models to plan and implement development tasks end-to-end

Practical use of GenAI tools to accelerate frontend and backend development

Prompt engineering skills

Applying AI/agentic reasoning to architecture design (Agentic System Design)

Integrating AI into testing, code review, and optimization workflows

Databases, Messaging & Caching

SQL (Microsoft SQL Server) - advanced queries, stored procedures

NoSQL (MongoDB) - document modeling, aggregation framework

Redis - in-memory caching, TTL strategies, cache-aside pattern

Event-driven architecture with Kafka (producers/consumers, topics/partitions) and/or RabbitMQ (exchanges, routing

keys, queues, DLQs)

Cloud & DevOps

S3, SQS, DynamoDB, EC2, DocumentDB, Step Functions, Lambda (Python), CloudWatch, IAM (least-privilege

roles/policies)

Containers and orchestration - Docker, EKS or OpenShift

CI/CD pipelines - Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, Helm

API management/gateway tooling (e.g., Apigee) and artifact management (JFrog Artifactory)

Observability tooling (Splunk, Dynatrace) - enough to lead incident response and guide the team on instrumentation

Other

Nx monorepos and shared/modular library structures

Experience working from Figma designs; accessibility and responsive design

Vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, pgvector, Weaviate)

AWS certification

Familiarity with recent Java features (virtual threads, etc.)
