Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to understand business and technical requirements.
- Assist in translating requirements into user stories and development tasks.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Develop, test, and maintain software applications under the guidance of senior developers.
- Contribute to front-end and back-end application development.
- Write clean, maintainable, and secure code following established coding standards.
- Develop and execute unit and integration tests.
- Support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes.
- Assist with troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software defects.
- Participate in software demonstrations and provide support during application deployments.
- Learn and apply cloud development, DevSecOps, and modern software engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Software development experience (internships, co-ops, academic projects, or personal projects may be considered).
- Basic understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience through coursework or projects using Python.
- Experience through coursework or projects using Selenium.
- Experience through coursework or projects using Java.
- Experience through coursework or projects using Angular or another modern JavaScript framework.
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
- Basic knowledge of web application development concepts.
- Exposure to source control systems such as Git or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Must be able to obtain the MPP Certification.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Agency Clearance.
Preferred
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices.
- Experience using Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code.
- Exposure to Git, Azure DevOps, or Team Foundation Server.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and web services.
- Basic knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Interest in learning cloud computing, DevSecOps, automation, and enterprise software development.
