Responsibilities
- Create and modify complex application programs
- Identify needs, implement, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot process enhancements
- Lead development efforts across application tiers and cross-functional teams
- Create complex designs with high visual and functional integrity
- Maintain internally developed applications
- Write and develop high-quality code
- Architect and build new infrastructures
- Design and develop custom web applications
- Design and create data interfaces
- Migrate solutions to newer technologies
- Maintain relationships with business units
- Lead medium to large development efforts
- Identify and initiate programmatic opportunities
- Review programmatic changes made by less senior developers
- Identify and contribute to developing internal tools
- Collaborate on process enhancements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years’ experience in designing, developing and maintaining enterprise applications
- Experience building and consuming APIs and integration services
- Proficiency in modern development frameworks and languages (.NET, JavaScript, Python, or similar)
- Strong front-end development skills using HTML, CSS, JavaScript or similar
- Experience with relational databases – designing, developing, and writing queries (SQL)
- Familiarity with version control and DevOps tools (Git, TFS, Azure DevOps)
- Visual Studio 2015/2017, .NET 4.5 framework
- Ability to identify, implement, and troubleshoot programming changes and modifications
- Ability to interact with stakeholders at various levels
- Ability to write technical instructions
- Ability to investigate and analyze information, and to draw conclusions
- Ability to learn and support new systems and applications
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well on a team
- Ability to work independently
- Strong knowledge of system development methodologies, application development tools, system architecture and design principles
- Ability to lead and gain buy in to proposed process changes
Preferred
- Any relevant platform or cloud certifications (e.g., Salesforce, Azure, AWS)
- Previous experience with sport organization systems and processes
- Practical experience working in both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies
