The role
As a Member of Technical Staff at Sainapse, you will build the shared platform that turns enterprise customer workflows into reliable software. You will own difficult product and systems problems across agentic workflows, data, integrations, and enterprise infrastructure.
Your primary responsibility is the product and platform. You will work directly with customers when it clarifies what to build; Forward Deployed Engineers own scoped customer POCs, implementation, and production launch.
What you’ll do
- Build shared platform capabilities: customer-context models, integration and tool frameworks, permissions, evaluations, and deployment primitives.
- Build reliable backend and product systems across APIs, event-driven workflows, data models, and user-facing tools.
- Integrate with CRMs, ERPs, helpdesks, inboxes, document pipelines, and customer-owned infrastructure.
- Improve the accuracy, latency, observability, security, and cost of production AI systems.
- Work with customers and FDEs to turn repeated integration and workflow patterns into reusable product. Help build self-serve onboarding as the platform matures.
- Own systems after launch: instrumentation, failures, incident response, and iteration.
- Use AI coding tools aggressively while maintaining clear engineering judgment and accountability.
What we look for
- Strong software-engineering fundamentals and evidence that you have shipped production systems.
- Fluency in at least one modern backend language; Python and TypeScript are especially relevant.
- Comfort with APIs, relational data, asynchronous systems, testing, and cloud infrastructure.
- Practical understanding of LLM applications: retrieval, tool use, structured outputs, evals, and failure modes.
- Ability to reason from first principles, communicate directly, and operate without a detailed task list.
- Care for customer outcomes as much as elegant architecture.
Experience with enterprise integrations, document processing, workflow engines, ML systems, security, or early-stage startups is useful but not required.
What success looks like
You ship systems customers can trust, reduce the time from a real workflow problem to production, and leave behind abstractions that make the next deployment faster.
About Sainapse
Sainapse builds agent-first software for customer operations, helping teams resolve work across the systems they already use. Our production work includes customer-support automation and document and order workflows, with configurable levels of autonomy and human review.
We are also building account-intelligence capabilities that connect customer signals across systems. You will help turn hands-on enterprise delivery into more repeatable software, stronger evaluation, and easier deployment.
We are a small team with broad individual ownership. We value first-principles thinking, direct communication, thoughtful use of AI tools, and evidence of customer impact. You will work closely with founders and colleagues across product, engineering, and customer delivery.
What we offer
