Senior IT Analyst m/f/d

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior IT Analyst (VDI) to support and enhance Virtual Desktop Infrastructure across a global enterprise. This role requires expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), strong automation skills using PowerShell and Python, and experience with GitHub for collaboration. Familiarity with VMware Horizon is an advantage.

This is a hybrid role, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote each week.

Key responsabilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments in Azure
• Implement and maintain access controls, security policies, and user profiles (including FSLogix)
• Monitor and optimize performance, cost, and reliability of VDI environments
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Python for provisioning, monitoring, and reporting
• Use GitHub for source control, code reviews, and CI/CD pipeline integration
• Administer and support VMware Horizon infrastructure (connection servers, UAGs, desktop pools)
• Troubleshoot and resolve VDI-related issues while providing Tier 2/3 support and collaborating with infrastructure and security teams

Key skills & Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) architecture and operations
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Python
• Hands-on experience with VMware Horizon administration
• Experience using GitHub for version control and automation workflows
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, FSLogix, and conditional access
• Understanding of cloud security, compliance, and best practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience

Additional Qualifications (Preferred)

• 5+ years of experience in VDI or end-user computing environments
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure, VMware VCP)
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a distributed team
