Responsibilities

  • Develop backend services and APIs in Python/Django
  • Develop mobile/web front-ends using React Native and React
  • Write Celery tasks, database migrations, and DRF endpoints
  • Collaborate with designers to translate Figma designs into UIs
  • Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
  • Use AI coding tools and review AI-generated diffs
  • Maintain and improve AI tooling configurations
  • Attend story review meetings to provide technical input
  • Participate in planning, feature demos, and retrospectives
  • Communicate development progress, blockers, and challenges
  • Integrate APIs and ensure seamless functionality
  • Contribute to estimate refinements
  • Stay current with Django, React Native, React, and AI tooling
  • Take on additional responsibilities

Requirements

  • Familiarity with developing software as part of a team
  • Familiarity with using design systems
  • Familiarity with source control
  • Familiarity with development tools
  • Treat AI coding agents as a daily-driver tool
  • Know how to write a prompt, verify output, and ship the result
  • Experience in Python (Django, DRF)
  • Experience in JavaScript (React, React Native)
  • Experience polishing UIs
  • Ability to translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect interfaces
  • Comfortable working with design mockups
  • Comfortable working with wireframes
  • Comfortable working with detailed technical specifications
  • Use Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar AI coding agent daily
  • Solid Git fundamentals: branching, rebasing, writing commits, keeping PRs reviewable
  • Comfortable with REST APIs
  • Comfortable with PostgreSQL
  • Comfortable with Docker for local development

Preferred

  • Experience with Celery
  • Experience with Redis
  • Experience with other distributed task queues
  • PostGIS or geospatial query experience
  • Experience configuring AGENT.md / CLAUDE.md files
  • Experience configuring custom AI skills
  • Background contributing to white-label products
  • Background contributing to multi-tenant products
