Responsibilities

Build and manage VPN tunnels using VpnService
Implement routing, DNS handling, and per-app VPN functionality
Capture and forward packets using TUN interface concepts
Integrate VPN cores using NDK/JNI
Build and ship native libraries for multiple ABIs
Implement release hardening including R8/Proguard and crash monitoring
Design secure storage and encryption using Android Keystore
Perform threat modelling and implement privacy-first telemetry
Develop core VPN SDK and app shell architecture

Requirements

Strong experience with Android and Kotlin
Proficiency in coroutines and Flow
Deep understanding of TCP/UDP, TLS, DNS, HTTP(S), proxies, and NAT
Experience with WireGuard, OpenVPN, and IKEv2/IPsec protocols
Experience with Gradle and CMake native builds
Prior VPN product experience in consumer or enterprise
Knowledge of Play Console workflows and VPN app policies
Experience with Android Keystore and certificate pinning

Preferred

NDK/JNI experience (C/C++)
Experience with Shadowsocks or custom tunnelling
Backend experience with Go, Java, Node, or Python
Experience with PostgreSQL
Knowledge of Linux networking including iptables and nftables
Experience with Prometheus and Grafana
Automated provisioning pipeline experience
Experience with monitoring dashboards and runbooks
