Lead design, development, and operation of internal platform
Translate operational needs into software solutions
Balance near-term delivery with long-term platform health
Build secure, scalable, resilient, and well-tested systems
Identify technical debt, performance, and scalability concerns

Design and deliver solutions autonomously

4+ years of professional experience building and maintaining production web applications
Strong back-end development skills in Go (Golang)
Experience building GraphQL and REST APIs
Solid command of relational databases
Experience writing performant SQL
Experience designing schemas
Experience managing migrations in PostgreSQL
Proficiency in TypeScript and React
Experience in Next.js or a comparable modern framework
Experience with modern front-end tooling
Experience with component libraries (Tailwind CSS, Radix/shadcn or similar)
Experience with form validation
Experience with typed GraphQL clients such as Apollo
Comfortable writing and maintaining automated tests on both the back end (Go) and front end (Jest, React Testing Library)
Experience deploying and operating containerized applications on AWS (ECS, ECR, S3)
Experience using Docker
Experience using GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines
Experience integrating with third-party APIs
Experience keeping data in sync across external platforms
Experience with background job/worker patterns
Experience using AI coding assistants and agentic development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
Ability to effectively direct, review, and validate AI-generated code
Experience structuring codebases and documentation so AI tools work effectively against them
Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate debugging, test generation, code review, and documentation without sacrificing code quality

Experience with Firebase Authentication, including custom claims for role-based access
Exposure to no-code/low-code platforms (Softr, Airtable)
Exposure to BI/reporting tools (Looker Studio, PostHog)
Experience working with Google Cloud (Cloud Run / Cloud Functions)
Experience contributing to multi-tenant SaaS applications
Experience implementing architectural patterns that support multiple customers, business units, or franchise locations while maintaining appropriate data isolation, security, and configurability
