Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong financial domain experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications supporting banking, financial services, payments, and transaction-processing systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, SQL, and cloud technologies, along with a solid understanding of financial applications and business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop scalable RESTful APIs and microservices for financial applications.
• Work closely with business analysts, architects, QA, and product teams to understand financial requirements.
• Develop applications supporting banking, payments, transactions, accounts, loans, cards, or financial reporting.
• Implement secure and high-performance transaction-processing solutions.
• Integrate applications with internal and third-party financial systems using APIs and messaging platforms.
• Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations.
• Participate in application modernization and migration from legacy systems to modern Java/microservices architectures.
• Implement unit, integration, and automated testing.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in root-cause analysis.
• Follow secure coding, code review, CI/CD, and Agile development practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams for application deployment and monitoring.
• Prepare technical documentation and contribute to architecture and design discussions.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17+.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
• Strong experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD.
• Good understanding of design patterns, OOP, data structures, and software development principles.
• Experience with JUnit/Mockito or similar testing frameworks.
• Strong understanding of application security and secure API development.

Financial Domain Experience

Candidates should have experience working on one or more of the following:

• Banking applications
• Payments and transaction processing
• Credit/debit card systems
• Loans and lending platforms
• Wealth management
• Investment banking
• Trade processing
• Risk and compliance
• Financial accounting
• Customer/account management
• Digital banking
• Regulatory reporting

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
• Experience with Redis or other caching technologies.
• Knowledge of React/Angular is a plus.
• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL is preferred.
• Familiarity with financial protocols, payment systems, or regulatory requirements is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
