You will work across every part of our technology business to solve problems spanning our whole product portfolio in delivering market-leading SaaS solutions to our insurance clients. This is a unique opportunity to get exposure to a wide variety of business problems, products and stakeholders. The role requires someone who has both deep technical expertise and strong product management experience to lead a development team supporting one or more Platform services.

The Role

  • Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap for one or more Platform services.
  • Socializing the vision and strategy with the business and managing expectations on the scope with stakeholders.
  • Defining and prioritizing business level outcomes/problems to solve (and what's out of scope)
  • Responsible for ensuring solutions are viable for the business and meet end user needs.
  • Defining and tracking product metrics, return on investment and the business case for one or more Platform services.
  • Elicit and capture user and business requirements across our technology teams.
  • Combine qualitative and quantitative insights to support prioritisation and product decisions.
  • Adopt a test and learn approach to validate assumptions early and increase confidence in the value we are delivering to the business and our clients.
  • Support solution design, technical decisions and release management for one or more Platform services.
  • Accountable for the adoption and go-to-market plan for one or more Platform services.
  • Create clear and effective documentation.
  • Prioritise delivery trade-offs, technical debt and cost/efficiency decisions.
  • Regularly communicate product and delivery updates and evangelise Platform to other teams in the business.
  • Manage the backlog, sprint goals and problem breakdown within the team.
  • Mentor and coach product management within the team and promote technical excellence.

What you’ll bring

  • Ability to work as part of a team using both agentic and human-led software development approaches, curating product context and setting acceptance criteria at engineering depth.
  • Outcome-focused product management experience with Public Cloud and Software-as-a-Service solutions.
  • Strong technical experience, ideally with tools or technologies that are common services consumed by engineering teams.
  • Experience solving multiple and complex problems with teams.
  • Ability to distill complex topics into non-technical and simple communications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to manage, align and influence multiple stakeholders of varying levels of seniority.
  • Data and insight driven with the ability to map delivery back to measured business impact.

Other highly desirable, but not essential skills are

  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud services
  • Experience of using AI capabilities to accelerate product and delivery processes.
  • Previous experience managing platform services
  • General knowledge of the Insurance Industry
  • Degree-educated with Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or relevant discipline
