Lead, Platform Engineering F/T
Overview
Manage network projects.
Role
- Develop detailed requirements for upgrading existing corporate and MasterCard networks, as well as re-architecting network segments in order to facilitate new requirements, technologies and growth.
- Resolve network communications and operations problems impacting customer or backbone access and performance globally.
- Participate in telecommunications-related initiatives.
- Research and develop innovative solutions around unified network solutions.
- Support assigned regional projects, which include responsibility for planning; time and cost control; resource utilization and implementation.
- Support Vendor management.
- Provide strategic technical direction on highly complex network systems projects or activities involving the selection and recommendation of design approach and systems software technology.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or as a Programmer Analyst, Project Manager, Platform Engineer, Network Engineer, or related.
- Qualifying experience must include at least 3 years with each of the following: Networking, including LAN/WAN, Firewalls, wireless, Security and encryption technologies; TCP/IP protocol communications; Cisco’s product portfolio; Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls; Project Management methodology and best practices; Network diagnostics, BGP, SNMP, VPN, SSH, MPLS technologies.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
