Job Description
Role Overview
As Analytics Director, you will be responsible for the strategic direction of analytics across key global accounts. This includes defining measurement frameworks, specification of automated dashboards, campaign performance reviews, mining insights from multiple data sources, and contributing to ongoing marketing-mix and test-and-learn programmes.
This role is ideal for a data enthusiast looking to lead analytics and data science strategy, delivering high-quality solutions and insights to some of the most innovative companies globally. The Data and Analytics team is diverse, ranging from hard-core data engineers to analysts and data scientists.
Responsibilities
- Own the analytics strategy and roadmap for accounts, including measurement frameworks and plans.
- Pursue best-in-class data visualisation and reporting through PowerBI.
- Take ownership of analytics output for assigned accounts/campaigns, providing technical direction and reviewing analytical approaches where appropriate.
- Present insights directly to senior client stakeholders, leading strategic conversations and influencing client marketing decisions.
- Collaborate with campaign team(s) to provide regular insights/recommendations, and lead execution of clients' measurement plans.
- Adopt appropriate analytical and statistical techniques to evaluate campaign performance and testing results.
- Be the bridge between the client, business users, and the data engineering team.
- Deploy test-and-learn programmes that deliver incremental value, and uncover insights to steer campaign optimisation and longer-term analysis.
- Contribute to the development of the agency's analytics offering, including new methodologies and tools, best practice, and new business/pitches.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Agency/consultancy experience; passionate, ambitious, curious to learn more.
- Experience visualising datasets and creating reports in PowerBI.
- Degree(s) or working experience in applied science/social science fields (Economics/Mathematics or related).
- Experience running data projects from start to finish.
- Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
- Strong understanding of statistics and experimental design, including regression, sampling and hypothesis testing.
- Understanding of media channels and measurement approaches, including attribution, incrementality and marketing mix modelling.
- Senior client management experience, with the ability to connect analytics to broader media and marketing strategy.
- Strong numeracy skills, attention to detail, time management, and written and verbal presentation skills.
Bonus Points
- Good knowledge of ad-serving and media agency workflow.
- Competent user of Web Analytics tools (Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics).
- Experience with Databricks and popular data analysis libraries (e.g. NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn).
- Understanding of popular ad-servers and their reporting APIs.
- Previous experience with media platform testing tools.
- Hands-on experience with attribution or marketing mix modelling.
- Previous experience analysing spot attribution for TV activity.
- Experience with predictive analytics or machine learning.
