Role Overview

Client is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer for a 100% remote role aligned to Mechanicsburg, PA. The role requires strong full stack application-development capability across a Java-based environment and a developer who can operate independently and self-sufficiently with less hands-on support and oversight.

The environment calls for strong communication, collaboration, analytical capability, and professional interaction with clients and team leadership while working effectively within an established, complex development environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform feature development.
• Conduct peer review.
• Validate estimates.
• Resolve defects associated with backlog items.

Required Technical Skills

• Advanced Java development capability as the primary job responsibility.
• Advanced capability with J2EE, Javascript, and Vue.js.
• Advanced capability with SQL & Oracle DB for queries and changes.
• Working proficiency in Unit testing.
• Basic Accessibility testing capability.
• Working proficiency in Responsive Design testing.
• Strong oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and professional skills, including effective collaboration with clients and team leadership, strong problem-solving abilities, and a self-driven, detail-oriented approach as a team player.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced ability to understand and translate business requirements and design specifications into defect-free code.
• Ability to collaborate across teams to understand the requirements that will form the core foundation of development work.
• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
• Project experience working with Agile processes.
• Knowledge of SDLC processes and use of application lifecycle management tools such as Team Foundation Server (or Azure DevOps) or MS Teams.
• Working proficiency with AEM Forms, Spring, and Hibernate with Websphere.
