Description

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST COMPLETE THE ASSOCIATED CHALLENGE.

About the Company

Cerbo

  • OptiMantra is a healthcare technology company built for practices actively changing how medicine is delivered. Our platforms serve functional, integrative, direct primary care, concierge, med spa, and behavioral health practitioners who need software that keeps pace with how they work — not the other way around.

Cerbo is architected for clinical depth

deep configuration, protocol-specific workflows, and flexibility for holistic and functional medicine practices.

OptiMantra is structured for scale

multi-modality breadth, out-of-the-box readiness, and the operational infrastructure that growing practices rely on.

What You'll Do

As a Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining scalable, cloud-based software solutions. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements to our platform. Primary responsibilities center on our back-end platform, with front-end and full-stack development forming a significant, recurring part of the role — not an occasional task.

This role is remote and successful candidate will support EST hours.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain front-end interfaces and user-facing features as a regular, ongoing part of the role, alongside back-end work.
  • Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java and Spring.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
  • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.
  • Support application deployment and ongoing maintenance.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to ensure software solutions meet business requirements.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including management, customers, and other teams, to ensure software solutions meet their needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow under the mentorship of senior engineers.
  • Experience with tools such as Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience working with one or more cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and familiar with their services and APIs.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

AI Tool Competency

  • Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants in a professional or project setting.
  • Ability to write clear, specific prompts that produce useful outputs.
  • Strong critical evaluation skills — able to identify subtle bugs, inefficiencies, or security issues in generated code.
  • Understanding of AI limitations, including hallucinations, outdated patterns, and context window constraints.

Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive compensation: $100,000 – $180,000 based on experience.
  • Paid Time Off and company holidays.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance.
  • 401k plan with matching company contribution.
  • Real ownership and impact in a fast-growing health tech company.
  • Location: 100% Remote.
