Base pay range

$36.50/hr - $44.80/hr

Quantam Solutions provides IT solutions and consulting for various clients. We offer competitive hourly wages, health benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan. We are currently seeking a Senior Full Stack .NET Developer. This role requires one day of onsite training. Eligible travel-related expenses will be reimbursed up to $1,000 after 90 days of employment, in accordance with applicable reimbursement guidelines.

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Full Stack .NET Developer to join its development team on a contract basis. This position will support the development of new software solutions, maintenance and enhancement of existing enterprise applications, troubleshooting of complex application and production issues, and modernization of legacy software systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing and supporting enterprise-level applications and services, along with the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar systems, trace application behavior across multiple components, identify root causes, and implement reliable, maintainable solutions.

Position Overview

The Senior Software Developer will analyze, document, troubleshoot, support, refactor, and modernize enterprise software systems, including both current and legacy applications.

This individual will collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other technical and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities may include requirements analysis, system design, estimation, software development, testing, deployment, production support, and application modernization.

Candidates should have demonstrated experience building and supporting enterprise applications and services, diagnosing complex production issues, and working across application, integration, database, and infrastructure components.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Create and manage technical tasks, user stories, bugs, and development activities using Azure DevOps.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications primarily using C#, Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET Core, JavaScript, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Support interoperability and modernization initiatives involving existing .NET Framework, WinForms, WCF, and other legacy applications.
• Develop and maintain RESTful Web APIs, web services, integrations, and service-oriented applications.
• Use development and troubleshooting tools including Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, xUnit/NUnit, SOAP UI, Chrome Developer Tools, and Visual Studio Debugger.
• Configure, deploy, and support WinForms applications, web applications, and web services hosted in environments including Microsoft IIS, Windows Server, and SQL Server.
• Analyze existing applications to identify technical debt, reliability concerns, security risks, performance issues, and modernization opportunities.
• Develop and maintain data integration and data movement processes using technologies such as SSIS, Web Services, and Web APIs.
• Support application deployment and release processes using Azure DevOps, InstallShield, and WiX.
• Write clean, maintainable, secure code based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Follow established development standards, code quality practices, security requirements, and maintainability best practices.
• Monitor and improve code quality using tools such as SonarQube.
• Develop and maintain front-end functionality using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js.
• Prepare data and test scenarios for unit, peer, integration, and system testing.
• Perform testing and debugging of new and existing applications, identify defects, and implement corrective solutions.
• Perform diagnostic analysis of complex application and production issues, determine root causes, and develop sustainable fixes.
• Document application functionality, integrations, dependencies, technical solutions, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Participate in production support and application maintenance activities as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong full-stack development experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET 6+, MVC, JavaScript, and SQL Server.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and Web Services.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for source control, work tracking, builds, releases, and deployment processes.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services such as App Services, Azure SQL, and Blob Storage.
• Strong experience with T-SQL, including stored procedures, views, triggers, tables, SQL jobs, and database troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting or modernizing legacy Microsoft applications, including .NET Framework, WinForms, WCF, SOAP, and XML-based integrations.
• Strong systems analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to understand unfamiliar applications, integrations, data flows, infrastructure dependencies, and system behavior.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving complex enterprise application and production issues.
• Understanding of application security standards and secure development practices, including OWASP and CIS guidelines.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a distributed, remote development team.

Education & Experience

Preferred Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field.

Equivalent Experience

A combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered, including:

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience, or
• An associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 2+ years of job-related experience.

Additional Requirements

• 2+ years of experience configuring, implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise applications in a networked environment.
• Ability to provide occasional support during off-hours or weekends as needed.
• Ability to work effectively within a remote, collaborative team environment.

Remote Work Requirements

Candidates must have an appropriate remote work environment, including:

• Reliable internet service of approximately 300 Mbps or better.
• Audio and video capabilities for Microsoft Teams meetings.
• A dedicated workspace that allows for professional, distraction-free communication and collaboration.
