Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure applications on major cloud platforms
- Build and modernize Java applications using Spring Boot, Hibernate, and related frameworks
- Support and modernize legacy applications built on Struts 2 and J2EE
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
- Implement best practices for cloud architecture, application security, and software development
- Optimize cloud-hosted solutions for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation for deployment, monitoring, and environment management
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud and on-premise application environments
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to story refinement and sprint planning
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, Java frameworks, and DevSecOps practices
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 8+ years experience developing Java applications
- Minimum of 8+ years experience with Struts 2 and J2EE
- Minimum of 7–10 years experience with Agile methodology
- Minimum of 3–5 years experience with Java development
- Minimum of 7–10 years experience with Spring Boot
- Minimum of 3–5 years experience with Hibernate ORM or equivalent ORM frameworks
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server
- Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit
- Familiarity with identity and access management, including SAML authentication
- Ability to develop and complete user stories independently
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting applications in AWS, Azure, or similar cloud environments
Preferred
- Experience delivering solutions within large-scale federal IT programs
- Familiarity with the SAFe Agile framework
- Exposure to Login.gov integration
- Experience supporting cloud migrations or cloud-enabled application modernization
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD automation
