Automation Specialist

Location Requirement: Candidates must reside in Cache Valley or the Greater Salt Lake area.

About the Role

We are looking for an Automation Specialist to join our Intelligent Document Processing team. In this role, you aren’t just "entering data"—you are the architect building the brains that do the work for us. You’ll use tools to teach computers how to read, understand, and organize complex documents (like utility bills) with incredible speed and accuracy.

What you will do

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys "flow state" work where detail is everything.

• Solve the Puzzle: Every bill looks different. You’ll analyze these differences to ensure our automation can handle anything thrown at it.
• Collaborate & Improve: Work closely with our product engineering and operations teams to fix glitches and find faster, smarter ways to get results.
• Become a Subject Matter Expert: You’ll develop a deep understanding of the utility industry, becoming the go-to person for how data flows through our system.

Preferred

• Experience with ABBYY FlexiCapture/FlexiLayout or similar tools.
• Background in utility billing, document processing, or enterprise automation is a plus.
• Experience with Electronic Data Interchange files.
• Familiarity with document modeling, regular expressions (Regex), or data validation logic.
• Exposure to XML, JSON, Javascript, Python, prompt engineering, or generative AI tools.
