Design, build, and own backend services, APIs, and data integrations for coupon merchandising
Implement and iterate on experiments end-to-end with Product and Data Science
Launch, measure, and refine A/B tests to move key metrics
Identify and execute codebase and product optimizations for reliability and performance
Collaborate cross-functionally to define roadmaps and success metrics
Uphold high engineering standards through code reviews, testing, and documentation
Partner with frontend and mobile engineers to deliver cohesive user experiences

4+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend development
Proficiency in at least one modern backend language like Go, Python, Java, Ruby, or Node.js
Hands-on experience designing and operating RESTful or gRPC APIs
Strong working knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL
Experience with caching or NoSQL stores like Redis or DynamoDB
Experience collaborating with Product and Data Science on data-informed features
Experience deploying and operating services on public cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
Experience working with containers like Docker or Kubernetes
Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable code with solid testing practices
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Experience with experimentation platforms and A/B testing frameworks
Frontend or mobile development experience with React, TypeScript, React Native, Swift, or Kotlin
Exposure to event-driven architectures and analytics tools like Kafka, Pub/Sub, Looker, or Amplitude
Experience with performance optimization and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry
Exposure to AI-assisted development and agentic coding workflows
Domain experience in coupon or growth systems
