Risk Operations, Associate/ AVP, Tokyo

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly risk reports, presentations, and executive dashboards
• Support timely regulatory reporting and disclosures; assist in liaising with auditors and compliance teams
• Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives using tools such as VBA, SQL, Python/R, and AI
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and new business initiatives

Experience and Qualifications

• 5+ years in risk operations, market risk, or credit risk within a financial services environment
• Degree in finance, Computer Science, Math, or related (Master's/FRM/CFA preferred)
• Proficient in Excel and VBA; comfortable working with SQL and relational databases; working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and automation, and familiarity with SharePoint, Power Automate, and AI tools such as Claude or Microsoft Copilot
• Understanding of Equity and Liquidity Risk frameworks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Business fluency in both Japanese and English; English is the primary working language
