As a Platform Engineer at DispatchHealth, you will own the infrastructure, tooling, and network architecture that enables our engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate mission-critical healthcare applications at scale. You'll serve as a force multiplier across software development, information security, and product engineering — driving reliability, security, and developer velocity across our AWS and GCP environments and the network fabric that connects them.

Key Responsibilities

Guide engineering teams through the full software delivery lifecycle, from design and build through testing, deployment, and production operations

Own and evolve our infrastructure as code (IaC) strategy using Terraform, ensuring environments across AWS and GCP are reproducible, auditable, and secure

Design and manage CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads, and orchestration workflows across a polyglot service environment, including monorepo-based development workflows

Architect and maintain network infrastructure across both AWS and GCP, including VPCs, VPC peering, transit gateways, shared VPCs, Cloud Interconnect, Direct Connect, VPNs, DNS, firewall rules, and cross-cloud connectivity patterns

Define and operate observability platforms covering metrics, logging, alerting, and distributed tracing across both cloud environments

Implement and automate security controls, compliance validation, and governance processes across compute and network layers in AWS and GCP

Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters across EKS (AWS) and GKE (GCP), including service meshes, ingress controllers, secrets management (Vault), and Helm-based dependency management

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or senior software engineering roles

3+ years operating large-scale production systems in AWS, GCP, or both

Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP infrastructure, ideally both, including services such as EKS/GKE, RDS/Cloud SQL, VPC networking, IAM, and cloud-native connectivity options such as Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Cloud Interconnect, and PrivateLink

Demonstrated experience designing and managing cross-cloud networking — including hybrid connectivity, unified DNS strategies, and consistent security group and firewall policy management across AWS and GCP

Strong Terraform proficiency for managing multi-cloud infrastructure as code, including workspace and module strategies for managing both environments consistently

Experience working with and supporting monorepo architectures, including tooling such as Nx, Bazel, or Turborepo, and designing CI/CD pipelines that scale efficiently.

Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or ArgoCD

Experience configuring application monitoring and observability with tools such as Datadog across multi-cloud deployments

Familiarity with delivering software in Go, TypeScript, Python, Ruby, or similar languages

Experience managing Kubernetes clusters end-to-end, including service meshes, API gateways, ingress controllers, and Helm
