Responsibilities

  • Design and develop backend services in Go
  • Own the deployment lifecycle
  • Build and evolve REST and gRPC APIs
  • Work closely with the database layer
  • Drive observability improvements

Requirements

  • 8+ years of backend engineering experience with Go
  • Deep familiarity with Flask, SQLAlchemy, and async concurrency patterns
  • Hands-on experience packaging and deploying containerized services with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Writing Helm charts
  • Reasoning about upgrade paths across multiple deployed versions
  • Strong PostgreSQL skills
  • Schema design
  • Query optimization
  • Writing zero-downtime migration scripts using Alembic or equivalent tools
  • Experience building and maintaining gRPC and REST APIs with explicit versioning strategies
  • Solid understanding of observability
  • Structured logging
  • Distributed tracing with OpenTelemetry or equivalent
  • Building dashboards in Grafana or similar tools
