Role Overview

We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to help build and scale the core systems that power Clever’s business.

This is a highly cross-functional, systems-oriented product role focused on the operational and technical backbone of the company: lead ingestion, partner integrations, data quality, workflow automation, internal tooling, and the systems that help our teams, agents, customers, and partners move faster with more confidence.

This role will report to Product leadership and serve as a critical partner across the organization, helping Clever scale the systems that power our marketplace and improve how leads, data, and partner workflows move through the business.

Focus Areas

• Lead Ingestion & Partner Integrations — how leads enter Clever's ecosystem, how partner data is received and normalized, and how integrations support validation, routing, matching, reporting, and partner trust
• Core Systems & Workflow Automation — the backend systems, internal tools, and automated workflows that reduce manual work, improve reliability, and help Clever operate at scale
• Data Quality & System Health — ensuring critical business data is accurate, observable, recoverable, and moving reliably between systems

Key Responsibilities

• Own backend and operational systems that support Clever's growth
• Partner with senior engineers to define requirements for APIs, integrations, data flows, internal tools, and workflow automation
• Translate ambiguous business and operational problems into clear specs, MVPs, tradeoffs, and measurable outcomes
• Improve partner APIs, lead validation, normalization, deduplication, routing, error handling, and integration health
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve data quality, automate workflows, and build more reliable systems
• Build better visibility into system health, failures, edge cases, and operational bottlenecks
• Define success metrics and instrumentation to verify systems are working as intended
• Use AI tools heavily to accelerate research, discovery, documentation, prototyping, analysis, and execution
• Work closely with Operations and other business stakeholders to understand where workflows break and design scalable solutions

What Success Looks Like

In 6 months… Deep understanding of Clever's systems and workflows; trust earned across Engineering, Operations, and Product leadership; highest-impact gaps identified and turned into a clear roadmap; early improvements shipped.

In 12 months… Materially improved reliability, visibility, and scalability of a core system; manual workflows reduced or replaced; partner integrations and lead flows are more resilient; engineering moving faster with clearer direction; leadership has better visibility into system health.

You May Not Be a Fit If You're primarily a front-end or marketing PM; you're not actively using AI tools; you're uncomfortable discussing APIs, data flows, or system tradeoffs; you prefer feature-surface work over underlying systems and operations.
