Job Duties

Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.21250)

Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Developer-related occupation.

Position requires

• Operating Systems including Linux and Windows;
• Cloud infrastructure technologies including Amazon Web Services, Oracle Public Cloud, or Microsoft Azure;
• Agile development methodologies including Scrum;

Programming Language

Java;

• Web Design using AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, CSS;
• Application Servers including Apache HTTP and Tomcat or Jetty and Jackson;
• AWS Services including S3, SQS, SWF, and DynamoDB;
• Open Source Tools and Software;
• Design of service-oriented architectures including designing for the durability, scalability, and reliability needs of services;

API Design

Cross-team or customer-facing public API design for long-term usage;

• Design of APIs for use in consoles (browser based user-interfaces);
• Deployment to highly-available services;
• System operations, including production, deployment, and management;
• Design and use of encryption in a secure service, including key management and rotation systems;
• Using workflows for asynchronous execution of tasks; and,
• PHP, C, Python, and MySQL.

Hiring Range in USD from

$206,086 to $251,999 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and/or equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off

Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
